To reduce my energy bill in my home I first replaced all the incandescent lamps in the bathrooms, basement and garage with compact fluorescent lamps.
I then replaced the indirect halogen fixtures in both the living room and family room with double compact fluorecnt type fixtures.
These lamps last longer and give just as much light as the halogen types.
My electric bill has benn reduced by almost 30%/month
